Photo Skills!!

Over the weekend my Niece Brynlee had her 1st BIRTHDAY!! The theme of the party was come in beach attire (not swim suits), sunglasses, flip flops, Tommy Bahama shirts... things of that sort. So we did and the boys were no exception. Carson even had his sunglasses, "Stylin I tell you." Anyway.. as the party progressed I begin to notice that all the men there (except me) had some sort of electronic device attached to their eye at all times. The Father of the birthday girl had a video camera, The two Grandpa's had cameras and videos going, and even Auntie Leese got in on the action, She is a Professional Photographer.(your welcome Leese) I began to feel a little uneasy like I need to be taking video or snapping some photos... The light bulb came on. Why not join in and capture some memories. I pulled out my Cannon PowerShot sd750 elph, which might I add, is the best point and shoot camera you can get, I'm bias.. I fiddled with different settings and managed to take some photo's I was really proud of.. The party was tons of FUN and Brynlee was adorable. I hope you enjoy my photo skills.

Well baseball is upon us!!

Here we are 2 weeks into baseball season and I have already been to a Dodger game!! It looks like we are off to a rough start, but that was to be expected I think. We have a new manager and some questionable pitchers in the rotation. Now I'm not talking about Broxton, or Saito, or even Penny, Billingsley or Beimel. Those guys are legit and can get it done in a hurry. But give me a break Esteban Loiza, and Scott Proctor to name a few, I just don't get it. They don't produce strike outs and seem to get hit on by all of the opposing teams. I don't mean to vent I just cant believe where we are at record wise. Dodgers should be doing better, and getting more production out of their hitting. I know it is early in the season and there is lots of time to right the ship, but Andruw Jones with a batting average of .100 that is unacceptable. He needs to get out of la la land and start doing what he was brought on for... getting hits and bringing in runs.

Now let me talk about what the Dodgers do have going for them. Between Furcal who is on FIRE, and the young staff of consistent hitters, ie Kemp, Loney, and Ethier. They have tons of potential to make the playoffs. When I throw in Jeff Kent Mr. RBI himself, and Russell Martin they should be a shoe in to win the Nation League West. Last but not least there is Joe Torre a great Manager who has been around the block, and knows how to fire up a team late in the season.
All in all I have a great feeling about this years squad and can't wait to get to as many ball games as possible..

I'm Back

Well a lot has happened since my last post... It seems that the whirlwind has stopped just enough for Linda and I to stop and catch our breath momentarily. Daycare that Linda runs is hectic, loud, and keeps Linda extremely busy, but on the upside it keeps her home and helps with expenses. Come the end of the day needless to say Linda is exhausted. I continue to need physical therapy as a result of what is just a long slow process. The bummer here is my insurance has stopped covering it hence I stopped going. I do have excercises and stretches I can do to help continue the progress.
Most recently I attended a Dodger game at Chase Field with Carson, and some other members of the family. Here are the pics

We've also found a great hiking and outdoors area right behind our house at Sombrero Peak. We go frequently and Carson and Tyler seem to love it.

Lastly, We were able to squeze a short weekend and get away up to Prescott AZ last month. whhhhew What a load off. The boys came along and we just made a nice vacation out of enjoying the mountains and the cool weather. Carson had a great time playing on the grass in front of the old Courthouse there in downtown. Tyler basically was along for the ride!!
