Vanguard Reunion.

Saturday and Sunday October 27th and 28th Linda and I with the boys attended the 10 year anniversary of Bradshaw Mountain Christian Assembly in Prescott Valley. It also just so happened to be the 10 your reunion for my Vanguard class. Vanguard was a one year committment to growing in the Lord and developing skills for someday going into the ministry full time. Not only was there book work and study to be done through Berean Bible college, but also hands on experience with worship ministries, youth, children and missions. It was a busy year with many many great memories. 10 YEARS I cant believe it.

I started out the year living in Prescott Valley where I got to help start Bradshaw Mountain Christian Assembly. I can remember our first service, there was a two foot ditch running right down the center isle of the church, and a huge mound of dirt on stage. I did everything from dig holes to drive a tractor to tearing down old rickety fences. I even crawled under that old rat infested mobile home trying to help Lee Metcalf and Scott Stair hook up some random piece of equipment for who knows what, it was crazy! If I can recall correctly we had between 13 and 20 people there on that first Sunday. Now 10 years later I still feel like I have a connection to that church and love to visit when I can get a chance.

Here are some pictures of that Reunion Weekend

I also want to give a a huge thank you to Steve and Mary Dibble, and Melissa (who had to sleep on the couch),for letting My family take over thier house for the weekend. All Carson could talk about on the drive home was VADER this and VADER that, not to mention kitty cat. We love you guys.

Joy in Sorrow.

Well This last weekend we all took a trip up to Sacramento for my Grandma Lucy's Funeral. I actually drove up with my mom on Wednesday October 17th, while the rest of the fam flew in on Friday the 19th. The weekend was filled with mixed emotion as the realization that I have no more Grandma's alive. It was a sobering thought. I remembered the good times, the laughs, and Family reunions, but most of all I tried to remember Grandma. Her looks, her smiles, what did she love. Every thought came back to the same answer. She loved her family and she really loved when we were all together. That is when her smiles were the biggest.

Grandma, Thank you for the times I heard you belly laugh, Thank you for saying I love you with your eyes, the words weren't needed. Thank you for a smile that said I am proud of you. And most of all thank you for The hug that said everything else. No matter what we always knew we could always cuddle up with Grandma for a great big HUG.

Grandma, these pictures are posted on the blog for you because your family made you the happiest.

It's my Party!!

10/4 was Carson's Two year old birthday, and that following Saturday we had a party for the little man. We got hooked up with a Cars theme jumping castle and it was a blast. You will never believe who the first person in the castle was, My DAD(Grandpa), he is a kid at heart. Anyway, Carson had a blast. Between that, his friends, and all of the presents. Carson was loving it. Here a few pictures of his great day.

This is Carson Loving that Cars Cupcake. You should have seen him, he actually tried to blow out the 2 candles. Priceless!!

Say cheese!
Carson, Adaya, and Jerris relaxing after the party.

Me with all of my friends! Blake jumping like a Monkey, and Carson's like not another picture. Ha ha, what a goof ball.

Thanks to everyone who came and made this a special day.

Octoberfest on MT Lemmon

On Sunday, Linda and I decided to take the kids up to Mt Lemmon and have a picnic. We stopped off at Windy Point, and let the little man get out and run around. All those rocks everywhere you should have seen this kid, he's a natural climber.

What is with that look on Carson's face? Chowin down having a picnic. You cant beat it.

Throwing rocks into the stream was his absolute favorite activity for the day.

What a little boy huh!!

There we are at the top of MT Lemmon, So beautiful.
